President Maithripala Sirisena has returned to Sri Lanka this morning after concluding the official tour to Germany and Austria.
“My tour in Austria and Germany turned out to be very good. Concluding this tour, we have been able to bag many benefits. We have been able to convince the business community why they should consider Sri Lanka for investment and collaboration,” he said.
President Sirisena visited the German Parliament and met the representatives of the German Parliament as well. Subsequent to that the President has also held bilateral discussions with the German Foreign Minister.
A special discussion between the President and the German Economic Affairs Minister was held and discussions were based on stimulating the economic cooperation between the two countries.
