Two cops injured following acid attack on them

Two police officers have suffered injuries after an acid attack in Weeraketiya during a raid this morning (28).
The cops have suffered injuries to their chest, neck and face after being struck by a noxious liquid thrown from a bottle, the police said.
The cops were attacked by a woman, whose husband police wanted to arrest, it was reported. Three persons including the woman have been arrested in connection with the incident. The suspects will be produced before the Magistrate tomorrow.
The injured police officials have been admitted to the Tangalle District hospital for treatment.
