
Six Indian nationals have been arrested for allegedly abusing visa conditions and having links to the ongoing racket involving kidney transplant operations in Sri Lanka, police said today.
They were reportedly arrested by officers of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) around midnight yesterday at a guesthouse on Pennyquick Road in Wellawatta.
The Indians had been arrested for their suspected links to the racket involving kidney transplant operations performed in Sri Lanka, according to reports.
The Health Ministry has begun an investigation into the alleged racket involving Indian kidney patients and Sri Lankan doctors.
