The power supply to several areas in the south which had experienced a sudden outage has been restored, according to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy.
The ministry said that parts of Galle and Matara were affected by the power failure due to a disruption in the transmitting line.
However, the issue has been rectified and power supply restored to the affected areas, the ministry said.
