An Indian national has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake with foreign currency estimated to be worth around Rs 7.5 million.
The 44-year-old man was arrested by Sri Lanka Customs officers while preparing to board Qatar Airways flight QL 669 bound for Sharjah with the undeclared foreign currency.
Airport customs is conducting further investigations.
