Rohitha Abeygunawardena to appear before CoI next week

Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardena has been summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on May 16, an official said.
The MP will be summoned to record a statement over alleged misuse of public funds at the water filling ceremony and opening of the Hambantota harbor in 2010.
Abeygunawardene was the Project Minister of Ports and Highways at the time. Several other officials were summoned before the commission to record statements in this regard in earlier occasions as well.
