An EgyptAir flight traveling from Paris to Cairo has disappeared from radar, the airline said in a tweet on Wednesday night.

Flight number MS804 was carrying 59 passengers and 10 crew members, a translated post from the airline said.  The plane lost contact with radar at an altitude of about 37,000 feet, EgyptAir said.

In March, an EgyptAir flight heading to Cairo was hijacked with a man claiming to have a bomb strapped to his chest.

The plane was diverted to Cyprus and an hours-long standoff ensued. The bomb turned out to be a fake and all passengers and crew were released unharmed. The suspect was arrested.

The region is no stranger to disasters involving airplanes. A Russian passenger jet crashed in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt on Oct. 31, 2015. Afterwards, governments, including the U.S. and Russia, speculated that a bomb detonation caused the plane to disintegrate in flight.

The Egyptian government, however, maintained that terrorism was not involved. All 224 people on board died.
