Speaker to accept CRPRC report today

The final report of the Constitutional Reforms Public Representation Committee (CRPRC) will be handed over to the Speaker today (01).

 


Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is scheduled to accept the report at the Parliament complex from the CRPRC, which was headed by Attorney Lal Wijenayake.

 


The Prime Minister earlier said that the new constitution will be drafted only after obtaining public opinions and recommendations. The PM also announced that officials would use social media to seek public opinion on the constitution.
