Driver flees after car crash kills 1, injures 2

A person was killed while another two sustained injuries after a car crashed into a three-wheeler stopped at a parking lot in the Kuruwita area.
Three persons who were inside the three-wheeler at the time of the accident were admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital while one of them succumbed to injuries shortly after.
The deceased is a 34-year-old resident of Hidellana in Kuruwita.
The driver of the car had fled the scene following the incident while Kuruwita Police has launched an investigation to arrest the suspect.
