Met Department warns of strong winds

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, the Met. Department predicted. Several spells of Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western and North-Western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thunder showers are likely in few places in the Uvaand Eastern provinces, particularly after 2.00 pm.
Strong winds at times can be expected over the country (particularly over Western slopes of the central hills) and surrounding sea area.
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
