No benefits for people - Udaya Gammanpila

Despite many countries extend their support to Sri Lanka, it is not the people getting benefits or relief from it, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya Leader Udaya Gammanpila says.
The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (06).
“There is nothing more but our leaders attend international events, and foreign leaders visit here. No benefits for people,” Gammanpila added.
He asserted the comfort felt by the President while he was shaking hands with the Queen without gloves has not yet been felt by the people of the country.
“It is like a race. The President takes overseas trips when the Prime Minister is abroad, and the PM does the same,” he pointed out.
