SLFPers to vote against no-confidence motion

All the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members will vote against the no-confidence motion, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.
The Vote on the no confidence motion will take place at 5.30 pm today.
The motion of no-confidence against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake signed by 37 MPs aligned with the ‘Joint Opposition’ was handed over to the Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya on March 24.
The motion has been filed accusing Karunanayake of proving false information to the Parliament including the proposals included in the 2016 Budget. A similar no-confidence motion signed by 44 MPs against the Finance Minister was handed over to the Speaker on November 27, 2015 as well.
