The Navy has arrested twenty-three local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets in the seas off Sampoor.
During the arrest, three fiber glass dinghies, three monofilament nets and two diving masks were taken into naval custody.
The arrested fishermen and the items were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector in Muttur for onward action.
