Three Indian fishermen held by Sri Lankan navy

Three Indian fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy on the charge of trespassing into Sri Lankan waters along with an Indian fishing trawler.
They were arrested in Sri Lankan waters North West of Delft Island yesterday (16), the navy media unit said.
According to Indian media, the fishermen are from Kottaipattinam in the Pudukottai district and had ventured into sea on Wednesday.
The fishermen, M. Joseph Arul (55), M. Maideen Khan (45) and U. Bakkiam (45), were handed over to the Jaffna Fisheries Inspector along with the fishing trawler for onward action
