Thierry D. who is suspected by the French justice of sexually assaulting some 66 minor boys in Egypt, Tunisia and Sri Lanka has been arrested.
He appeared before the Assize Court of Versailles, the Tempsreel news agency reported.
It is one of the few French to be pursued by the French justice for sexual crimes committed abroad . Thierry D. now imprisoned in the Fleury -Merogis prison awaiting the start of his trial, scheduled for June 20, was charged with a series of acts of rape and solicitation of child prostitutes in Egypt, Tunisia and Sri Lanka.
The details supplied by the weekly’s website, which says investigating the suspect since November 2015, are chilling. Thierry D. is believed to have abused some 66 boys aged 6 to 17 years - in three countries.
