The current water cut in Bambalaitiya, Kollupitiya, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council area, Pelawatta and Ambathale areas will continue until 3pm, the National Water Supply and Drainage Boards said.
Yesterday the National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that a 12 hour water cut will be imposed from 6.00pm yesterday (5) to 6.00am today in several areas including parts of Colombo.
The water cut affected Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council area, Wellawata, Kirulapana, Bambalapitiya, Kollupitiya, Pamankada, Havelock, Jayanthipura, Pelawatta, Mulleriyawa, Ambatale and Kohilawatta. The water board said that the water supply to the aforementioned areas will be suspended due to a pipeline from Ambatale Water Treatment Plant to the Dehiwala water supply center being damaged.
