Parliamentarian M. Welukumar has decided to step down from the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) committee, it was reported.
His letter of resignation has been handed over to the Speaker of Parliament a short while ago on Wednesday (06), Ada Derana reporter said.
Meanwhile, State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe is likely to be nominated to the COPE, a source close to the UNP said.
