The Department of Meteorology says that strong winds at times can be expected over the country and the surrounding sea areas.
Deep and shallow sea area around the island can be rough at times as the wind speed can increase up to 60-70 kmph.
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard, the Early Warning Centre of the Met. Department said in a strong wind advisory.
