Mother, daughter hacked to death in Ratnapura

A mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found murdered in their house situated in Wewelwatta area in Ratnapura, the police said.
According to police, they died from multiple wounds caused by a sharp object.
An official said that an investigation is underway to arrest a person suspected to have involved in the crime who is said to be the clandestine lover of the woman.
The remains of the deceased will be taken to the Ratnapura hospital for a post-mortem.
