While referring to an observation made by the President on not allowing foreign judges into the judiciary in the country, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa asserts this stance should be the view of the Government as well.
The observation was made while responding to the reporters after an event held in Colombo this morning (13).
“As the observation was made by an executive president, this view also should be the stance of the Government. However, some people try to point out this as a personal view,” said Rajapaksa.
The former President also went on to say that it is still uncertain whether the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) would extend its support to the vote on Value Added Tax (VAT) bill or not.
