Over 6,500 taken to courts for facilitating dengue breeding

The Public Health Inspectors’ Association (PHIs) says that cases have been filed against 6,544 individuals for maintaining mosquito breeding grounds.

 

Public Health Inspectors’ Association President Mr Upul Rohana also said that cases were filed against 107 state institutions for facilitating dengue breeding grounds.

 

He said that this includes two Schools and two Ministry premises.

 

Mr Rohana said that a majority of the dengue mosquito breeding sites have been uncovered in the Western Province.
