Man shot dead inside car in Piliyandala

A person was shot and killed after an unidentified gunman opened fire at him while he was travelling by car in the Jayamawatha area on the Poliyandala-Maharagama road.

 

Police said that the shooting incident occurred at around 7.40pm today (16) and that the victim succumbed to injuries before being admitted to the Piliyandala Hospital. 

 

However, Sri Lanka Police said that no information can be given regarding the deceased, suspects or motive as of yet and that further investigations are ongoing.
