
The final report of the Presidential Commission to Investigate into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons (PCICRMP) has been finalized, Commission Chairman Maxwell Parakrama Paranagama says.
He added the report will be submitted to the President within next few days.
The commission has received at least 20,000 complaints on alleged abductions and disappearances.
The three-member committee that comprises former High Court Judge Maxwell Parakrama Paranagama, Mano Ramanathan and Priyanthi Suranjana Vidyaratna was appointed on 15 August 2013 by Extraordinary Gazette, No. 1823/42, under the provisions of Section 2 of the Commission of Inquiry Act.
