The scheduled protest march from Colombo to Kandy will be held on July 28 despite whatever comes its way, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila says.
The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this morning (25).
He also quoted a police source as saying that there is a move to obtain an enjoining order in a bid to halt the protest march.
“There are three Penal Codes in Sri Lanka. One for ordinary people, another one to press charges against members of the opposition, and the final one for the government members,” he added.
Gammanpila also went on to say if law and order is equal to all, “John and Patali” should be behind bars by now.
