Two arrested over Mt. Lavinia shooting

Two individuals, aged 19 and 20-year-old, have been apprehended in connection with a murder of a person in Mt. Lavinia last month, the police said.

 


The person was shot and killed by an unidentified individual who had arrived in a motorcycle on 21 August.

 


A T-56 firearm and live ammunition have also been seized by the police from the possession of the suspects.

 


The suspects are being questioned under a detention order obtained by the Mt. Lavinia Magistrate’s Court, the police added.
