National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa has slammed the role of MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake as the leader of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) for allegedly backing the Government.
The observation was made while he was speaking at an event held in Minuwangoda.
Quoting an observation by the Finance Minister, Weerawansa accused the JVP leader of maintaining a supportive relationship with the Government.
“He does not have any concerns about the latest background of former CB Governor Arjuna Mahendran, but acts as a spokesman to the FCID to make comments about its investigations relating to Rajapaksas,” he claimed.
He also went on to say that Dissanayake attempts to justify the investigations against the members of the Joint Opposition.
