The government is eyeing to suppress the opposition through a political witch hunt, National Freedom Front spokesperson Muhammad Muzammil asserts.
The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (16).
He also went on to say the move to yet again arrest MP Namal Rajapaksa demonstrates that the government attempts to cover up its failures and shortcomings through the political witch hunt.
The former MP also accused the Sri Lanka’s Marxist party, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) of backing the coalition government of Maithri and Ranil. “The JVP attempts to justify the mistakes of the government,” he added.
