A fire broke out this evening at a petrol station in the Teldeniya area on the Kandy-Mahiyangana road.
A fuel bowser which was stopped at the station had suddenly caught fire while the flames has gradually spread to other parts of the petrol station.
The road was temporarily closed as firefighters doused the flames before there was more damage.
