Man arrested with drug pills and cannabis

A suspect has been arrested by Kalpitiya police for storing drug pills and cannabis to sell for students and youths.

The arrested suspect is a 50-year old resident at Kalpitiya town.

The stock has been seized in a raid carried out by Kalpitiya Police officers according to information received. The police discovered that one tablet has been sold for Rs 160.

Rs 1, 39,500 have been seized from the suspect’s house, Police said. Preliminary investigations had revealed that he had maintained a Pharmacy without a license to sell drugs.

The suspect, Drug pills and Cannabis will be produce before the Puttalam District court.
