Miss Earth Angelia Ong to arrive in Sri Lanka

Angelia Ong, the winner of the Miss Earth 2015 pageant, will arrive in Sri Lanka on Friday (26). She will be here on a special invitation by TV Derana and she is expected to crown the winner of Derana Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2016. 

 

The 2nd runner-up of the Miss Earth 2015 pageant Brittany Payne will also participate in the final pageant of Derana Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2016 which will be held on the 31st August at Citrus, Waskaduwa. 

 

Angelia Ong, is a 26 year old Filipino model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2015. Later she represented her country and was crowned as Miss Earth 2015.

 

Angelia competed and finished Second Runner-Up at the Miss Manila 2014 pageant and bagged Best in Long Gown and Press Choice Award. 

 

She competed at Binibining Pilipinas 2011 pageant representing Iloilo City and received people’s choice special award as the “Face of Binibining Pilipinas 2011. 

 

Angelia represented the Philippines and won in the Miss Earth 2015 pageant held at Marx Halle, Vienna, Austria on December 5, 2015 and was crowned by her predecessor Jamie Herrell, also from the Philippines. 

 

In her Sri Lankan visit she is will engage in numerous environmental project including the launching of “Manusath Derana Nature Force’ project where there would be a pledge and an initiative to plant one million trees in the country. This project will be launched ion 28th August and initially 300 sandalwood plants will planted on that day. 

 

Brittany Ann Payne is an American beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Earth United States 2015 and United States’ representative in Miss Earth 2015 and eventually crowned as Miss Earth Water (2nd runner-up).
