
Strong winds (up to 60 kmph) are expected to continue over the Southern and Western provinces and in the Southern sea areas, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Mainly fair weather condition will prevail over most parts of the island.
However, light showers will occur at several places in the Western,
Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Southern provinces.
Thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces after 2.00 p.m.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
