One person was killed while another four were wounded following a traffic collision involving two lorries in the 19th Mile Post area on the Putalam-Anuradhapura road.
Police said that a 40-year-old resident of Pulmude succumbed to injuries following the crash while the other 4 injured persons have been admitted to the Puttalam Hospital.
