Eleven army soldiers remanded over disappearance of two persons

Eleven army soldiers have been remanded until 24 October in connection with the disappearance of two individuals in Achchuveli in 1998.
The suspects were ordered to be remanded after being produced before the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court.
The soldiers, who had been deployed at the Achchuveli army camp, were taken into custody over a complaint lodged by the relatives of the missing persons, Ada Derana reporter said.
Five more soldiers have also been remanded in connection with the incident on 26 September.
