Man, woman dead in murder-suicide

A 46-year-old woman has been found murdered at a guesthouse in the Kataragama area.
Acting on information received by Kataragama Police, officers discovered the body which had sustained injuries caused by a sharp object.
Preliminary inquiries have uncovered that the woman was murdered by a man she was sharing a room with at the guesthouse.
The victim is a resident of the Peragirigama, Kataragama.
Meanwhile the murder suspect, a 42-year-old from Peragirigama, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the house of his relative in Tissamaharama.
Kataragama Police is conducting an investigation.
