Met Dept. issues weather advisory for heavy showers

The Department of Meteorology says that there is a higher possibility of heavy showers or thundershowers at most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m commencing from tomorrow (30) particularly in the evening.
Heavy falls (about 100-150mm) can be expected at some places particularly, in the Uva, Central and Eastern provinces.
Showers will also occur along the coastal area in the morning too, according to an advisory issued by the department’s Early Warning Centre.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers, it said.
