A letter has been sent to the AG by the Election Commissioner to review legality of holding polls in the districts where tasks related to delimitation analysis are concluded.
Earlier, the election monitoring groups had also apprised the Election Department on the possibility of holding the elections in 61 bodies.
A spokesperson told Ada Derana that the AG would announce his decision in this regard within next few days.
