A 30-year-old man has been stabbed to death with a sharp object in the Ratmalana area.
The victim was living in a rented house in the area and is originally from Padalangala, according to police.
So far no suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder.
The motive behind the murder is not yet ascertained while further investigations are being carried out by Mount Lavinia Police.
