
President’s Counsel Sarath Jayamanne has been appointed as the new Director-General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today.
Jayamanne, who currently serves as an Additional Solicitor General at the Attorney General’s Department, received his letter of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat.
He takes over form Dilrukshi Dias Wickramsinghe, who resigned from the position on October 17, 2016.
