Showery condition is expected to enhance – Met. Department

Atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for evening thundershowers over the island, the Met. Department says.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. Public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
Showery condition is expected to enhance as well as in the Eastern and Northern parts of the island in next few days (From 16th November 2016).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island after 2.00 p.m. Heavy falls (more than 100mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces.
