
A man who was arrested after he suspiciously attempted to get close to the President and the Prime minister while pretending to be a journalist at the funeral of the late Pandit Amaradeva has been further remanded.
The individual was remanded until 17 November after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
However, a Counsel appearing on behalf of the suspect had apprised the Magistrate that the suspect has a mental disorder, Ada Derana reporter said.
The police informed the Court that the preliminary police investigation on the incident has not yet been concluded.
