President, PM’s expenditure heads passed in Parliament

Twenty-five expenditure heads including the offices of President and Prime Minister, for the 2017 fiscal year, were passed in Parliament without amendments.

 

President Maithripala Sirisena was also present during the debate on the President’s budgetery estimate today (19), the 1st day of the 19 allotted days for the Committee Stage Debate.

 

The Committee Stage Debate will take place for a period of nineteen (19) days from November 19th to December 10th and the Third Reading Division will take place on December 10th 2016.
