Case against Wimal over his book postponed

The Colombo Commercial High Court Monday postponed a case filed against MP Wimal Weerawansa by JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva over publishing and distributing the book ‘Neththa Venuwata Eththa’.
Ada Derana reporter said the case will be taken up for hearing again on March 10, 2017. The decision was made when the case was taken up for hearing before Judge Shiran Gunaratne.
The respondent requested the Court to fix another date for the case since there is an ongoing Parliamentary session, Ada Derana reporter added.
The case alleges the provisions of the Intellectual Property Act have been violated by publishing the book.
