Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that there were no “super ministers” in his government because there was a “super president” back then.
Responding to a question from a journalist regarding the accusations from the ‘Joint Opposition’ regarding attempts by the government to create a ‘super minister’, he said that there is no need for any super minister and that any minister is a super minister if they do their work.
When asked whether he had any unofficial ‘super minister’ in his government, Rajapaksa said: “There were no super ministers during my time because there was a super president.”
