A police Sergeant was killed after his motorbike collided with a van in Makurugoda area in Baddegama.
The accident occurred on Hikkaduwa – Nayapamula road, the police said.
The remains of the deceased are kept at the Baddegama Base hospital pending an autopsy.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested, and he will be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s Court today.
