Opposition leader R. Sampanthan and TNA MP M. A. Sumanthiran should resign from the Constitutional Assembly, EPRLF leader Suresh Premachandran says.
He pointed out there is no point of Sampanthan and Sumanthiran be in the Constitutional Assembly since the government has announced its stance not to link the Northern and Eastern Provinces and vowed to give the right status and respect deserved for Buddhism.
“It is the demand of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to link the two provinces. They can negotiate this after resigning from the Constitutional Assembly,” he said.
