Excise Department seize ecstasy pills in Maradana

An individual has been arrested by the Excise Department with ecstasy tablets in his possession.
Chief of the Special Raids Unit, G.N. Hemantha, said that around 40 pills were seized during the raid which have a street value to a tune of around Rs.125,000.
The suspect was arrested near the Jummah Mosque in Maradana on Tuesday. The person is said to be a supporter of the mastermind who smuggles this drug illegally into the country, he said.
