Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said he was highly impressed with the progress made by Sri Lanka in many fields, especially in education and health.
He said he was also privileged to participate at the 2nd anniversary ceremony of the government of President Maithripala Sirisena. Naidu made these observations when he held a discussions with the President at the President’s House in Colombo.
Andhra Chief Minister said that he was keen to study Sri Lanka’s successes in education and health in order to emulate them in his state. President Sirisena congratulated the Chief Minister for the rapid progress made by Andhra Pradesh under his tenure. He said that Sri Lanka was impressed by Mr Naidu’s plans for poverty alleviation and added that there are many programmes that could provide guidance to his plans for poverty eradication in Sri Lanka.
Mr Naidu said that the information technology is now essential for every sphere and said that the bad effects of IT could be discarded through enhancing good use of IT.
