Daisy Forest released on bail

Daisy Forest, the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, has been granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
She was ordered to be released on a cash bail of Rs.25,000 and two personal bails of Rs.1.5 million each, Ada Derana reporter said.
Daisy Forrest was ordered to appear before the Court regarding a property in Mount Lavinia in relation to an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The preliminary investigation into the case has been concluded, the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID) has also apprised the Court today.
However, the Court has also refused to accept Yoshitha Rajapaksa to sign the bail paper of the suspect, Ada Derana reporter added.
