An Indian national has drowned while bathing in the sea off the Hikkaduwa Beach.
Police said that the 29-year-old man was rescued and rushed to the Karapitiya Hospital, however he was pronounced dead on admission.
The postmortem examination is to be performed today (28) while Hikkaduwa Police are conducting an investigation.
