Two suspects arrested over Pitipana murder

Two suspects alleged to have been involved in the murder of an individual in Pitipana, Homagama, have been arrested, along with the firearm that was believed to be used in the shooting, police said on Friday.
The police added that a raid carried out yesterday led to the arrest of the two suspects involved in the murder.
A T-56 gun, along with 52 rounds of bullets, two magazines and a pistol belonging to the suspects arrested, have also been taken into police custody.
According to police, the suspects, who are 28 and 33 years old, have been identified as residents of Panagoda and Meegoda.
The two individuals are to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.
